We recently stayed on Mactan for 4 nights at the end of our time in the Philippines and took a day trip with Fun & Sun Dive Shop, based in Mactan. It was a great day of island hopping to 4 different snorkel areas as well as an island we could explore for a bit. They also cooked an AMAZING barbecue lunch right on board! WHAT DOES FAMILY FRIENDLY MEAN?

This is our 2nd stint at Grand Mirage Bali and we don’t do repeats unless they really impress us. We knew how excited Liesel would be to be back here playing in the kids club, hanging out in her princess room and raging down the waterslides. But, what about us adults? Well, we chose the all-inclusive option, opted for inexpensive kids club babysitting one afternoon and enjoyed their brand new infinity pool overlooking the beach and Nusa Penida island in the distance.

Do you love lakes and mountains? Our second stop in Taiwan was the incredibly picturesque and tranquil Sun Moon Lake. Sun Moon lake is in the foothills of Taiwan's central mountain range and considered an “alpine lake”. Fun fact, this alpine lake has palm trees and lush green mountains surrounding it! It’s a little different than the pine trees and snowy mountains we’re use to at other alpine lakes we’ve visited. But either way, lakes nestled into mountains are kind of our favorite thing, so we knew we'd love Sun Moon Lake. Read our full blog here, or click the video to watch our vlog!
