Get the Luxury Treatment at Samabe Bali
Are you looking for a luxurious vacation that won’t break the bank? Curious about luxury accommodations available in Bali? You will definitely want to put Samabe Bali Suites & Villas on your short list of places to check out. We loved the natural beauty this property, the service, the attention to detail and more!
About Samabe Bali
Samabe is located in Nusa Dua. Nusa Dua is known for its luxury 5-star resorts and Samabe fits right in. It’s located on a cliff facing east, overlooking a lovely white sand beach and the sunrise.
The cliff-side location gives most rooms a great view of the ocean. And because the property is built into a hill, Samabe has buggies (similar to golf carts) to take you around the property without breaking a sweat. They also have a funicular to take you up and down from the beach if you aren’t in the mood to climb the 160 steps!
I can’t say enough about how beautifully landscaped this property is. It reminds me of Hawaii, with bougainvillea and plumeria all over the property. And the sunrises here... they are worth waking up for!
What to do here
For being a luxury resort frequented by honeymooners, there is a ton to do!
First and most obvious is the infinity pool and Ring of Fire pool bar & restaurant. We spent the majority of our time here because Liesel looooooves a good swimming pool! Sitting in a cabana and having our lunch poolside was a great way to spend the afternoon!
There‘s also the beach! And this is one of the nicest beaches we’ve seen in Bali. The waves break far offshore, so the waves on the beach are pretty gentle. There are kayaks and SUPs available for guest use during the day. The staircase down to the beach is gorgeous with photo ops at every step! There’s food service at the beach as well in case you get hungry. And when you’re done with a long day at the beach, the funicular will take you back up the hill to your room!
In case that’s not enough, there’s also a spa, main restaurant, kids club, business area, and bar near the lobby.
When choosing a place to stay we always look for
Where we can stock up on kid essentials (diapers and milk)
Where we can get grown up essentials (coffee)
What’s nearby or how do we get around?
Is this place a good value?
Here’s how Samabe stacked up:
Where to find diapers and milk:
Unfortunately, there’s no store in walking distance of Samabe, BUT, local grocery stores like Cocomart and Pepito are short Grab ride away, and a stay at Samabe includes beverages (which means milk too!).
Where to get your caffeine fix:
We were spoiled with delicious coffees included as part of our breakfast every morning, but the real highlight was afternoon tea on the beach. “Tea” consisted of coconuts, sparkling rosé and the cutest, tastiest little tea snacks. Combined with the awesome view being on the beach, this is an experience you definitely won’t want to miss (and is included in the room rate for guests)!
Getting around:
Getting around Samabe is so fun. The buggies are just a phone call away and will whisk you from your room to wherever you need to go on the property! And if you’re looking to explore offsite a bit, Grabs, Go Jek, and taxis are readily available.
Value:
This is a luxury resort in an incredibly beautiful setting, and packages here are a bit more pricey than we usually pay. Basic rooms here start around $300 / night for limited privilege (breakfast, non alcoholic drinks). But compared to similar properties in more expensive tropical destinations like Hawaii, it’s honestly quite reasonable!
The bottom line
If you are looking for a peaceful, luxury getaway in Bali, Samabe Bali Suites & Villas is your spot. After spending a good deal of time in resorts that are super kid-focused, it was a nice break to stay at a calmer property. Liesel even seemed a little extra relaxed and well-behaved during our time here; it was the perfect getaway for our family!
